Mini PCIe SSD

I saw some mini PCIe SSDs on sale/auction on eBay. Will they work in the Acer Aspire One D250?

Will I be able to boot from it if I install on on my D250?

For more speed, you can use a Sata SSD hard drive, or an eSata modded., but your HDD work fine in basic configuration.

Are there any mini PCIe SSD's that will work in an Aspire One AOD-250, and are bootable?

I am looking for a bit more capacity, and moving the boot partition off the main hard drive.

Nope, because they are not mini pcie.
You will need something like these to replace the 2.5" hdd. Here.

This variant uses the reserved and several non-reserved pins to implement SATA and IDE interface passthrough, keeping only USB, ground lines and maybe the core 1x bus intact.[6] This makes the 'miniPCIe' flash and solid state drives sold for netbooks largely incompatible with true PCI Express Mini implementations. Also the typical Asus miniPCIe SSD is 71mm long, causing the Dell 51mm model often being (incorrectly) referred to as half length.

My European made 722 (722-62kk) also has an extra pcie slot. Is the same true for these models?
