MIC is not working in ubuntu

    Someone states that the MIC is not working in the recording software in the ubuntu but without any problems on skype. The MIC on my aspireone is not working on both recording software and skype. Do I need to change some setting in order to let it work in skype?

    mic doesn't work at all on my one, too
