Messenger won't work!?

I tried to add an account and I got the following error:

Your MSN Messenger account [email protected] is error
Our protocol is not supported by the server.

Any solution to this problem?

Edit: Just tried with Gmail and it works. What's the problem with MSN/Hotmail?
 
Does anyone know why this is not working. Still not able to log in to my MSN account with the AA1 Messenger...
 
Same here.
It worked since i bought the AA1.
but just started getting error since yesterday.
Please help.
 
now i UNINSTALLED the acerim!
so i got nothing to use!

I can't install Pidgin also.
and the aMSN didn't work on my ONE.

so,
anybody stil got the ACERIM.DESKTOP file.
can u pls upload it for me?
so i can put it back??

Gmail works but not Hotmail... and I have all my friends on Hotmail. :cry:
 
Here in Spain dont work, ime,pidgin or amsn, i cant enter my account.

In destkop pc work fine, in my Asus one, CANTTTTTTT!!!!!!

Please resolve this, i dont want to put xp, i like this "easy" version of linux.
 
I don't think it's a temporary problem, I have this for about 10 days now!
 
I confirm the problem

I have one hotmail and one gmail users with messenger

Both dont work on one

and both work on xp deskptop

Can someone solve this? know something about it?

I am also thinking in installing ubuntu in my one, this is a netbook it must have net"things" ;)
 
But is going to be arranged or not??? or we must have another solution???

Mine is uninstalled.
How can i possibly get the messenger back????

not yet.. im is working but take a look at webcam on im.. it's disabled!.. :( ..
