    I'm not sure what it's called...the popup menu you get by right-clicking on the desktop, the one with all the programs and settings etc (is it xcf4?) Anyway as soon as I use one of my own kb shortcuts for something, that menu will not appear again until I restart. Anyone else? Any ideas?

    Is that ANY shortcut that causes this?

    Hi Sid,
    Now that you mention it I think it's only my own KB shortcuts. I can do ctrl c/ctrl v to copy and paste and still get the menu. As soon as I use one of my own shortcuts, for instance ctrl t to start Thunderbird, then for sure I can't get the menu again until restarting.

    Sorry to ask loads of question, where are you setting the kb shortcut?
    I have used the custom desktop (from this forum) and set a few shortcuts, but they do not disable the right click menu.

    I set my shortcuts by: settings-->keyboard settings-->shortcuts

    Even using the standard alt-F2 makes the "Allow xfce to manage desktop" get unchecked.
