I have some media related questions regarding the Linux version.

    - What kind of movie formats can the Acer One play "out of the box" via Media Master?

    - Can you play SD and HD movies in full screen without any dropped or skipped frames?

    - Can you play movies and music straight from a SD card or USB stick, or do you have to move the files to the internal SDD first?

    - Can you play other music formats besides MP3 via Media Master? AAC, OGG, etc.?

    - Support for iPod, especially iPhone/Touch?

I can only answer a few:
You can play them straight from the flash drive.
I'm guessing it plays OGG, since it plays video in ogm i believe.

It plays ogg files just fine. The webcam even records in ogg format. Playing ogg files through the built-in mplayer plug-in (for in your browser) works fine too.

    Hi

It doesn't seem to support h264 (MP4 for PSP) out of the box ...

Does anybody know which packages should be installed to get this going?

    thanks

Thanks for the tip. Although I have already installed VLC, the first set of codecs in that guide got mplayer to run Quicktime videos embedded in web pages.
