Make external HD thought of as extra internal HD?

    Please, just curious...is there a way of making my Acer Aspire One, which has an 8 GB SSD, "think" that an external hard drive is simply another internal hard drive?

    I'm not sure as to why you would want your AAO to see your external drive as an internal one. However if you are wanting to automatically but from the external drive instead of the SSD then all you need to do is change the boot order in the BIOS to boot from the USB HDD first. Then make sure the external drive is connected when you boot and your AAO will boot from the external USB HD.
