well whatever, but they didnt help either, and i discovered now, that this problem seems to occur sporadically, when i use the netbbok som time suddenly the graphic errors disappear, and then after some time they reappear and disappear again... maybe thats a heat relatet problem... is there any program that allows to switch on the fan on fastest mode? i have the latest bios version from acer...

    edit:
okay its not heat related, as far asi can guess, i had those graphic errors after a shorter standb phase and the temperaturesensor told me that the system had 37°C

I have seen a similar problem twice supporting some laptops at a nearby company. One was a problem with the mainboard of the laptop. However in that case even the screenshot showed the corruption. The other was a bad display or bad cable from the display to the mainboard.

When you say you installed Windows on it, was it a Linux system as shipped? If so did Linux work fine on it? You could try reinstalling Linpus or some other Linux variant. Or at least booting an Ubuntu live CD image off USB and see if you have the same corruption problem.

Since the screenshot came out fine, I doubt it is a memory or mainboard issue. It really sounds like a bad display.

The problem was the same under Linux, but because the Linpus GUI hasn't that many light surfaces it wasn't that severe...
Yeah, i also came to the conclusion that the display is corrupted... but i wanted to exclude all other possibilitys first, as getting a new one would take at least a week and that sucks :D
