Live Update no longer working?

For days (in fact more than a week now) I am getting an error message while trying to do a live update. There are three updates waiting; A thai language update and two greyed out updates (so I presume they are obligatory):
180053 A date/time patch
180054 A system patch

After a while the process times out and I get an error message.

I have good internet connection as witnessed by Firefox running well and I am getting my emails. Also live update worked fine in the past. I tried the commandline onlineupdate. But same result.

Any views?

 

Further update.

I also tried:
sudo yum update fedora-release

I get a connection and it tells me that a 31k update is waiting. It tests the transaction and that is ok but then it hangs on Running Transaction.

 

I also now have a problem when installing software via the package manager. When it tries to install updates (e.g. I tried to install Abiword) it hangs. I believe this is related. sudo yum doesn't work!! Help!!

No, it did not help. Here a screen dump of the last part that stumps me. After Running Transaction nothing happens.
