little help getting usb gamepad working?

    so... I may just be dense* or noobish... and well it wouldn't be the first time

    I installed zsnes and it runs nicely (mame was SLOOOOW.. unplayable w/ SDLmame anywayz)

    however game pad doesn't work (thrustmaster Firestorm digital 2)

    i installed the joystick driver (1.2.15) from the package manager... however I'm now a bit stumped as to what else i need to do from here?

    i did try to look at the readme file but i'm really lost...

    Joysticks (and gamepads) support isn't enabled in the kernel that comes with the one.

    It's possible to build the missing modules (there's an howto on this board) but I failed to do that myself.
    Now someone also locked the thread about building missing kernel modules :roll:

    I think a lot of aspire one users would be happy if someone was kind enough to build and share the missing modules for gamepad support.
