when searching verizon wireless's website, there isn't an driver for linux, but searching other website yield some success stories about linux with VZW's wireless internet. However I would like to know if I need driver for the modem and if there is a way to get those USB modem to work under linux? it would be cool to bring that little netbook out with internet access. Thanks in advance.

Hello, You may want to go into your local Verizon store and ask the "air card guru" to download the drivers from there vzam.net site for enterprizse downloads. I had to do the same thing. Be sure and take a thumb drive with you.
