    Hello everyone!

I'm having a little issue using Ubuntu 9.04 and I'm thinking of getting back to the standard system. Though I must ask You these questions for those, who use Linpus:

    1. Don't you have any HD playback (720p) issues? Which player do you use?
    2. Is it possible tu run latest Wine version?
    3. Is it possible tu use latest GIMP version?
    4. Is it possible tu use latest Skype version?
    5. Which player should I use with my iPod player? Last time I couldn't get Rhythmbox player working.
    6. Is it possible tu use latest Kino and Audacity versions?
    7. Is it compatible with all the latest software?

Thank you for your future answers! Have a nice day!

Not sure about everything you've asked about, but there's a version of Wine in the Add/Remove software selection. Don't know which version though.
I'm not that familiar with it, but I managed to get a load of 'portable' windows programs running in it within minutes of installing it. There is a portable version of Audacity here: http://www.portablefreeware.com/all.php which might work. Plenty of these standalone-type programs do.

Media-wise, I installed VLC from here: http://macles.blogspot.com, which seems to play anything. Macles may have some pointers to other stuff you may want too.

Skype, I downloaded from the Acer website here: http://www.acer.com/aspireone/support/files/connect.html#001
There's also a version of Gimp there, although again I'm not sure how recent a version it is.

As for an iPod-compatible player, I'm not sure, but I know someone who'd love to get his iPod touch working on his Aspire One, so if you find out could you let me know please?
