I’m an employee at Kanakbhuvan Industries and I’m having an issue with my laptop overheating during intensive tasks. The CPU temperature reaches 95°C, causing performance drops and shutdowns. My laptop is an HP Pavilion, Intel i7, 16GB RAM, and Windows 10. Any recommendations on cooling solutions?

Laptop Overheating Issue: Tips & Solutions

Hey there! Overheating is a common issue that can affect performance and even cause damage if left unaddressed. Here are some steps to help reduce your laptop’s temperature:

    1. Clean Out Dust and Debris: Dust buildup inside the laptop can block vents and fans. Cleaning these areas can significantly improve airflow. If you need compressed air or other cleaning tools, make sure to handle your device carefully or have it serviced professionally.

    2. Check Your Cooling System: If your laptop is older, the thermal paste might have dried out, reducing its effectiveness. Replacing thermal paste or upgrading the cooling fan may help; you can find quality replacement fans and components on our site, My Laptop Spares.

    3. Optimize Usage and Settings: Running multiple heavy applications simultaneously can strain the CPU and GPU, leading to more heat. Try reducing your laptop’s load or enabling power-saving modes.

    4. Use a Cooling Pad: A cooling pad can help by providing additional airflow. It’s an easy solution and might be especially helpful if you often use your laptop on soft surfaces, which can block vents.
If the overheating persists, you might want to check for hardware issues. At My Laptop Spares, we offer a wide range of replacement parts, from cooling fans to heat sinks, that can help get your laptop back to optimal condition.
