Hello, I have an Acer Aspire 5532, and for a while now, it's been making this rattling noise sporadically. Sometimes, the noise seems to respond to movement. I cleaned out the fan, hoping that would solve the issue, but it hasn't. Any suggestions? I'll link a video of the rattling laptop for you to assess what's going on.

If you remove the cd/dvd drive “ONLY” then run the computer and the noise is still there
it can only be either the fan or harddrive that's faulty.

Locate the harddrive position on the bottom of the computer and remove the harddrive plastic cover only ,turn on the computer is the noise louder with the harddrive plastic cover removed

If it's a lot louder then it's more than likely to be the harddrive that's on the way out,if the noise is not louder with the harddrive plastic cover removed then it's likely to be a fan problem.

If you find out that the harddrive is at fault then you are in quite a good position to
quickly fit a new one and clone the old drive to a new harddrive because the old drive is still
    working.

Before you replace it, download this program AOMEI PARTITION ASSISTANT to windows

    http://www.disk-partition.com/free-partition-software.html

You will also need to purchase a “Hard drive caddy” these can be found on ebay.
Yours will be a 2.5” “Hard drive caddy”

Place the new harddrive in the new “Hard drive caddy”

Using AOMEI PARTITION ASSISTANT when loaded, right click on “Disk 2 Only” then choose create partition. After you have done this choose “disk copy wizard” from the left menu.

Choose “copy disk quickly” carefully follow the instructions.

After it's finished transfer the new drive in your machine
