Known Good Cellphone/Bluetooth Combos

    I am wanting to get a G3 cellphone that I can use as a wireless modem with my Acer (linpus). I would love to do a phone to tether through bluetooth with USB being an option. I will use it with a windows machine too, but I am wondering if there are some known good linux combos. Do I need a Ubutu if fedora won't work? I would like the...

    Phone name/model
    Bluetooth adapter or USB only
    Software/Drivers needed
    How well it works with Linpus...Ubutu...Windows.

    Also, any info on the setup would earn you a generous number of bonus points. :D
