    I have searched all over for this answer and come up empty. I would like to kill the USB ports during suspend.

    It did this in Limpus, but now I converted to Ubuntu and now they stay on during suspend.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

    In Ubuntu you need to add the module to MODULES in /etc/defaults/acpi-support

    MODULES="ehci_hcd"

    Does this lead to less power consumed in suspend?

    This worked perfectly... I keep a USB memory stick plugged in as well as a LED keyboard light, and I was getting annoyed at the lights when the unit was in suspend...

    thanks again!!
