Keyboard issues

    I have factory reset my Compaq CQ57...Windows 7.. English keyboard. Now my left shift key will not perform upper case on zxcv whilst the right key also only gives upper case on selective keys. Any keys not selectable by the one is by the other. Can anyone shed some light on this?
