just got my AAO!!!

    very excited, very nice looking

    i think i'd like to put a linux on here and learn a new OS, but keep XP

    do i need to partion?!

    was looking at http://www.maximumpc.com/article/howtos ... _poweruser

    seems easy, doesn't say if i need a partion to install

    anyways, glad to be apart of the community

    If you would like to install Ubuntu Linux, then you don't need to partition your hard drive and you won't need a blank CD either.
    All you have to do is go to www.ubuntu.com, download the image, install Daemon Tools (http://www.daemon-tools.cc/downloads), Reboot, double-click the icon in the system tray, locate the Ubuntu image and then click "Install Within Windows"

    P.S. Any *buntu will ask if you want to install within windows.
