'Java applet not initialised'?

    Hi all,
    i'm new to my acer aspire 110 linux. i'm having problem when trying to perform so internet banking services. the message 'java applet not initialised' will pop out after i hit the submit button after keying in my password. can someone help? what's wrong?

    are you sure it is actually your bank's website? Sounds kind of like a phishing attempt to me. But, if there is a problem w/their applet code, there is nothing you can do. You could maybe try to update the Java engine on your machine.

    thanks for your reply AceRyan, i try to download Java again but there are 4 diff kind of Linux. which one to choose?

    Linux RPM. However, typically when I see the applet not initialized message, it means my system is about to initialize the applet. On the other hand, if you've waited a couple of minutes and nothing's happening, then something's missing
