Is this the right zif cable for my hitachi drive?

    I heard it needs a "flip cable" and want to confirm if this is the right one? Also i tried scraping the original cable in order to custom mod the zif cable thereafter the hard drive would be detected in bios but not in the windows installation screen. This was probably due to me over sanding or something. Also if anyone is selling one, please let me know.

    When I sanded mine I exposed about 1-2mm. instead of the seeing silver wire, I see copper. I used 2-3 small pieces of scotch tape on the back side so the cable is thick enough to secure in the HD zif connector. either way, I am using XP (installed via USB) on my 1.8" hitachi 20 gig right now.
