If I'm looking to upgrade my RAM, is this module what I should get?

Don't know if that PC6400 will work in your Acer or not. I have a 2 GB DDR2-5300 in mine that I bought from "crucial.com". If you go to their website with your Acer, there is a "scanner" that will check your computer and tell you which stick to buy. There is also a manual "fill in the boxes" option that will tell you the same thing as the scanner does.

I'm under the impression that ANY higher stick is just a waste of money (unless you're going to pull it for another computer down the line).

My 2GB DDR2-5300 works great and has never locked up my system.

The 2GB version of the 751 actually comes factory fitted with Hynix RAM, the stick in mine is Hynix 2GB 2Rx8 PC2-5300-555-12.
