    Hi everybody,

I am about to shell out for the Aspire One but would like to check if the email client is a cut down version of Thunderbird. If not could I run Thunderbird from a usb? If "no" to both the above - how easy will it be to transfer my address book into the email client?

Just from looking at the source rpms and the documentation, where it refers to connecting to Exchange but still requires OWA, my guess is a custom build of Evolution. You can install Thunderbird:
    viewtopic.php?f=44&t=782&p=12262&hilit=thunderbird#p5332

While I can't confirm, since I haven't used the provided email client, it theoretically should be able to import either CSV or LDIF and Thunderbird can export the address book in those formats.

Many thanks. Got my Aspire this am! :D

Sorry I didn't find the post referred to when I searched for the topic.

Will have a go when I have sorted out the basics
