Is it normal? 2 processors

    I have AA1 model AOA 150-Bb 120 gb hdd, 1 gb ram, XP Home and windows show me this [attachment=1:1t61lzb7]2c.JPG[/attachment:1t61lzb7] in Virtual PC the same [attachment=0:1t61lzb7]2c1.JPG[/attachment:1t61lzb7] Is it normal ? 2 cpu? :shock:

    My understanding was that XP Home doesn't include support for more than one processor; you need XP Pro for that. If that's true it means that you're not getting the full benefit or the second virtual processor and that upgrading to XP Pro should result in a measurable performance boost; can someone confirm? Has anyone upgraded to Pro, and if so do you see a difference?

    To summarize, hyperthreading is supported by XP Home and XP Pro - that's why the device manager shows two processors and describes the computer as a multiprocessor PC. Brilliant!
