My friend has the Linux version of the Aspire One but she realized that she doesn't really like Linux and wants to change to Windows. I tried running an XP installation disk with an external CD drive but then the setup program would not open. I also tried copying the installation files onto a USB and running it that way but that didnt' seem to work either. I'm wondering if anyone knows how to solve this problem or why the setup program won't run?

Do you have CD on the first place in the boot sequence?

    Is cd bootable?
