I have an AA1 with an 8GB SSD.
I would like to install Vista but I cannot--my hard drive must be in NTFS format and I cannot format from the Install menu (I get an error message).
Any ideas on how to get past this hitch?

There is NO way to install Vista on fat32. And NTFS on your SSD is unusable. You'd have to live with XP.

I didnt say it was not possible to install Vista on an SSD version AAO.... I said it cannot be installed on FAT32, which is what you need. NTFS on the SSD is EXTREMELY SLOW.... So unless you don't mind having a very very slow netbook. Then of course you can install Vista on your SSD AAO. :D

On the Vista setup.... 1st delete all the existing partitions. There is an option there to do that, then create a new partition using the entire 8gb...... then click on format drive. Easy isn't it? hehe..... now wait around 3hrs to finish the install of Vista. ;)

    Thank you so much. :)
Yes, it took forever to install but it runs fairly well!

I have fallen into another problem though :(
The light for the Wi-Fi is not on. I think that I turned it off when I had Linpus Linux installed.
The switch does not work to turn it back on.
I installed the Vista drivers from here:
    viewtopic.php?f=38&t=4404&start=0&st=0&sk=t&sd=a

However, I still cannot connect to any network. Is there any way to turn on the Wi-Fi from the software (is that the problem)?
    Anyone know what to do?
