I know the AAO has a customised version of Linpus that is somewhat locked down. Is it possible to just install the "normal" Linpus lite from linpus.com on to the AAO.

Does everything work? eg, the WI-FI LED that doesn't work if you install something like Ubuntu.

It works about as well as [Insert random distro here]. If you want something that just works, stick with what you got or try a distro that's reported to work pretty well with the One (Mandriva 2009 or beta versions of Ubuntu, Fedora, Mepis and maybe a couple more). These others won't work perfectly, but they'll work a lot better than vanilla Linpus.
