Installing Skype on Linux Acer One Aspire?

    How can I install latest Skype onto my Linux Acer One Aspire? Thxs in advance

    Or go to the Acer support site, where there is a file ready to install. It puts the icon on the desktop too.

    Thank you.
    I get to download the Skype.sh.zip file but can't open the zip file. Double clicking, left and/or right, doesn't work.
    i.e can't open or alocate zipped folder. Please can you advise in a dummies guide? Thanks in advance for your help. JMC

    Hi jmc68

    You need to download the Fedora 7 version from scheuergut link, and it is not a ZIP but RPM file, ;) download it to your Downloads folder, and then just double click it.

    As for a desktop Icon Acer have already done :D this for you in the group-app.xml file, you just need to modify it.
