    Hi,

I have a Windows Aspire One, the 1 Gig Ram, 120G version etc.. I hope to dual boot Linux on it. Would this have an effect on my ability to restore the system back to factory settings? Since Linux/grub make changes to the MBR.

When you install Linux you don't necessarily have to have it write to the MBR. There's a way to keep your Windows MBR and launch Linux from Windows' bootloader. There's an article here on how this is done, although I have never done it and can't help you further. :)

    Cheers.
