The problem is this USB-printer that's shared through the built-in printer server in my router.

How do I make this work for the Aspire One ?

I have tried for 4 hours now, but still no result.
The HP Device Manager - Printer Setup Wizard doesn't seem to find the printer at all.
And I'm not quite sure if this printer has to be treated like a fully network printer at all-

Well, time to sleep a little.

Hoping to wake up to some good hints on this subject.

This printer is already shared between 3 Windows machines (2 wired, 1 WLAN), so I know that all the hardware is working.

You are trying to connect to the printer from Linux?
    Did HP provide linux software?

HP had a link to an external page with Linux drivers:
    http://hplip.sourceforge.net/downloads.html

However, the drivers didn't come in a version for Linpus.
Tried some of the versions for other distributions, without luck.
