sorry mate, that displaymanager file is not the one you want to be editing.
/etc/X11/xorg.conf is the one you need to be tinkering with.

that said, i think youll run into the same problems i had with 11.0, which is that KDM, the login screen, doesnt honour the settings in xorg.conf and figures out a resolution on its own, thats what this line does that i told you to ammend. so keep that info save somewhere for when you sorted your current trouble :)

crikey, do u know what you're doing?

that xorg.conf file needs to go into /etc/X11/ directory

and before you do, save a copy of your current config to somewhere

    on the console:
    to save config:
    cp /etc/X11/xorg.conf /

to edit the file xorg.conf in the directory /etc/X11/ as root:
    sudo nano /etc/X11/xorg.conf

had 11.0 running, but only with ndiswrapper for wireless and a few other things, cant remember...
on a AA0 110l, but that shouldnt matter.

just do a sanity check of /etc/X11/xorg.conf and /etc/sysconfig/displaymanager and make sure the files look like expected.
i trust u deleted the content of your original xorg.conf before pasting mine in? ;)
