can anybody please tell me how I can get icons for downloaded and installed programmes? the Linpus Linux has a very small number and usually very poor ones. some programmes, like Picasa, installed their own icons, but Skype doesn't.

    any idea?

Are you talking about getting a file with an icon in, or getting an icon to show up in the menus?

It's worth bearing in mind that icons in XFCE are theme-specific. The application-supplied icons won't necessarily be used. If you don't like the icons, it might be worth changing the icon theme.
