I have an idea in mind i'd like to do with my laptop. I've seen a few desktop videos of people adding LED strips wired to the motherboard, and my project is similar.

Basically, i want to get a couple of IR emitter diodes wired to the board, except i don't have a clue on voltage, amperage, etc., let alone where to begin on the board itself. The goal is to make an in-house sensor bar for Wii emulation. (If it's not allowed to mention such things, i apologize)

I've looked for solutions online, which say to get a usb sensor bar or the old candle trick. That may be good for desktops, but for a laptop, i want something more built in, and i don't have to carry extra hardware to set up

Btw, my laptop is an HP Pavillion 15- au020wm
