How to reset user password?

    I forgot it, and i need it so I can install programs and so on.
    is there a way to restart password?
    anyhow?

    open a terminal and type

    Code:
    sudo passwd user
    ignore BAD PASSWORD messages if you're not worried, the password change will still be applied

    Amazing! Thought i was in the shit when i forgot my password, but right back on track now. Thanks for the advice!
