Recently I have reinstalled my Acer laptop and like before I installed my finger prints via BIO Protection. I was succesively asked to fill in a BIOS password as a condition to move on, which I did.

This password is a pain in the "" as it slows down the startup process and I simply want to get rid of it. However, nowhere an option can be found.

Preferably I want to switch it off with the existing software without having to download anything new.

Thanks in advance for your advice.

You will need to have eSettings installed. There is a section for BIOS where you can set up a BIOS password and you should be able to remove it from there.
