how to make webcam work with preinstalled messenger?

Any way to get the webcam to work with the messenger preinstalled. I logged into my msn account and it has the icon for the webcam but i try to start it and it all grayed out and no option to select any webcam. Anyone got it to work?

I attempted to use webcam on preinstalled messenger last Sunday and it didn't work.

But yesterday, in the Direct Update, already was the patch to correct that situation.

And now the webcam works perfect on preinstalled messenger.
