As mentioned in another thread, the free Easeus partition manager software is perfect for resizing the XP partition on the AA1. You set the size, it reboots and does the work. It takes a few minutes total.

Hi, just thought I'd post a message.

I just used EASEUS Partition Manager on my Acer 120Gb. It worked like a charm - really straightforward and easy to use with some good help files. I created two partitions: a 15 Gb C drive and a ~91 Gb D drive for my documents.

It was a two stage job: first click on C drive and resize it (I did only this one first to see how it worked).
It reboots twice, took 5 to 10 minutes.

Then create the D drive from the unallocated space left over after the C drive resize. Didn't need to reboot after this.

The only issue I had was that Google Desktop failed. I'm about to reinstall that. Everything else works fine (so far) and absolutely no problems loading XP up.

Norton Partition Magic works fine as well. Neither the XP or recovery partitions are disturbed in any way except of course for size which is what we are after anyway.
