How to install xp to usb flash WITHOUT writing to 8gb ssd?

    When trying to install tinyxp on 8gb usb flash drive (corsair voyager mini) windows attempts to write files to the 8gb ssd which has my linus linux on. How do I stop this from happening? thanks Joff

    Windows will write the boot sector on the default boot device.

    In my desktop i switch the boot order from let say 80GB HDD and 300 GB HDD, them each of them have a boot sector so I have to switch wich one to start with from the bios and not from the boot menu.

    Switch the boot order, not start from usb with F12....
