    Hey,

I've just recently fixed my AAO 160GB and plan on installing the Ubuntu Netbook Remix on there. I have the AAO 160GB HDD and 1GB RAM version 8.9" screen. I have Windows XP installed on there (came with it) and I used Paragon Partition Manager to partition 35gb of the 160gb to install Linux on. I used Ext2 for the 35gb Linux partition as Paragon seemed to not be able to partition Ext4 (does anyone have any comments on how to partition something into Ext4).

So right now, I have Windows XP with nothing else. Is there a way I can install UNR without first installing Ubuntu? I'm confused because the guide on this forum to install Ubuntu on AAO says use the Hardy one but the guide found here:

    https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UNR

says use the Jaunty one. I'm looking to use the Jaunty 9.04 one as apparently I can just update it as they go along for the best support. Help?

    Thanks!

    Hey,

Thanks for the reply, I tried it but never really got how to use it, maybe its just me. For those who want to know I did it through here:

    https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UNR

Using the Command Prompt w/ flashnul method. Don't know if it matters but I installed 9.04 Jaunty.
