I want to use the PC's DVD to add Win 7 to the Aspire One, and to load software, but I've forgotten how this is done. Can someone give me a refresher course or point me to a thread where this is discussed? The PC is an iMac running Windows Vista, and there is a router/cable modem setup so I have internet access via wireless on the Acer.

My memory is that this is a simple thing to do (I believe I did it a year or so ago with my original AA1) but now I'm having trouble finding any information about the process.

I may also buy an external CD/DVD drive if that's easier.

If your AAO has Windows installed you can easily install Windows 7 from it.
Copy the ISO (if you have only a DVD of Win7 use a program like Alcohol 52% to make an ISO of it) to the AAO, and either extract it with 7Zip or WinRAR etc or mount it with Daemon Tools or Alcohol 52% etc, then run install.exe from the ISO, then go through the steps of installation.
