hi, i recived my aspire one today with 120gb and linux....

i put XP on a usb and run it on aspire one, so i erase all the visible partitions in the hard disk, and started the installation of xp

but within the first restart i get an error, HALL.dll missing.... i looked for answers and google says that this error is because i did not eliminate all the partitions, but with the XP installation i cant see the partition, how can i delete it? ??

    help please

    thanks, sorry about my english

That's because you have to boot into the USB key 2 or 3 times. I don't remember exactly. Do not take the USB key out after selecting text-mode installation. Leave it in, and when your computer reboots, boot into the USB key again, and select the second option (GUI mode, I believe).

    Hope that helps!
