does anyone know how to do this?
i know in mac its pretty easy to create a network than the net work will be seen in iphone throught wifi and it can be connected and with ssh you can transfer files in between , so you can use the iphone as an file server ( i call it wifi hard drive)

does any one know how to do this?

In MAc And Windows its very easy and lots guide for this, but in linux i couldnt find any.

Please help if anyone know how to do this in aspire one with iphone.

i wrote a guide for mac if anyone wants it but i am going to assume you guys are running windows (although my aspire is running leopard) so here is a windows guide. i have been doing this since the first iphone was released and it works when you have no other options. i suggest setting up a browser just for tethering so you dont have to go through all these settings everytime.

    good luck

i just realized that the question was possibly directed to be about doing it on a linux machine. i am not sure what distro your running but you can:

    1. get http://wicd.sourceforge.net/ to set up ad-hoc
    2. install firestarter to share internet connection

    hope that helps
