Solved. Hold down the shift key and request restart.

Newby here. I have been locked out of my laptop after falling for a scam, and I have created a flash drive with Windows 10 ISO on it ready for a clean install. When I insert the drive and turn on the laptop, I have tried all keys along the top row (ESC, F1 through to F12, INS, and DEL) in my attempts to enter the boot menu but nothing stops it bringing up the locked version of Windows 10 instead. Am I missing something? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
