High CPU temps and shutdowns....

    Hi:

    Last week I experienced a problem with my wife's One. It powered down when the XP screen appeared or just about a minute on the BIOS menu.
    I dismantled it following the instructions provided in this forum.

    The cause was the heatsink termal tape. I removed it, cleaned the CPU and heatsink surfaces and added a generous amount of thermal grease.

    Problem solved.
