help with hte yum

    failure: repodata/primary.sqlite.bz2 from freshrpms: [Errno 256] No more mirrors to try. what does this mean?i am a newbie and i have an acer one with linpus linux can anyone help?

    It means that yum can't find the repository info for freshrpms or any of its mirrors. You could go to the freshrpms site directly, download the rpms you want to install, then install them manually.

    You should realize that Fedora 8 is no longer supported, and that even in the freshrpms repository, the newest Fedora 8 package is just two weeks shy of a year old. If you can't find what you want in the Fedora, freshrpms, dag, or livna repositories, then it's probably time for an operating system upgrade.
