Hi there.

I really need your help this time. I need to install a trading program that called Metatrader4. Its only doable trough wine. Im allready install wine and winetools (ver. 9.***) trough add/remove programs, and I already downloaded the metatrader setup program. And found a tutorial posted in other forum:

http://www.fxaddict.com/community/showthread.php?t=89

But its still not working.

Can someone please help me with this?

I really appreciate for your help.

Thank U

Ok guys,... finally I sorted it out. Some guys at fedoraforums.org helped me finding solution for this mess (thank u very much quik69 & JN4OldSchool).

Its simple,... just download MFC42.DLL from www.dlldump.com and copy it to your /home/user/.wine/drive_c/windows/system and system32 directories.

Voila!!! And everything solved.

Hi, I've installed wine through sudo yum
and have successfully installed a metatrader program by simple double clicking the setup program I've placed at the wine directory, but when I try to start the program, nothing happened, I browsed to drive_c\Program Files\Metatrader4\terminal.exe and right click it and choose open with wine, but nothing happened, what could possibly went wrong? thanks a bunch ^^

it's been a week and no one replied, I think I'm going to reformat and try to install tiny xp instead...

Does anyone know if there's an app like metatrader but for stocks instead of forex? i'm not familiar with PC software (long time Mac user) enough to know a good stock analysis/trading program that will run on the A1 via Wine. Any advice is much appreciated.
