    Hi all.

    I'm new here so 'Hi'!
I've got an Acer 751 and I insatlled windows 7 and used the win 7 drivers from the Acer website, excluding the video becuase a newer one is avilable direct from Intel.

Runs quite well exept for video play back... I mainly use VLC and any standard def video is really choppy.
Also I use iTunes to download some video podcasts (again only standard def) and that is choppy.

    Any ideas?

    Cheers!

    Welcome!

You will not get VLC to play well on this netbook because VLC is solely CPU depentant and the Atom just cant handle it.

If you use a player with hardware acceleration, for example WMP12, that comes with Windows 7, it will play everything including 1080HD nicely (not flash, see seperate thread about that.)

Unfortunately, this is true. WMP is the only player that works well in W7 for me.
