HELP: Blank Screen after Rebooting after Avast install

As the title says. Installed the latest version of Avast on my AA1 (TinyXP). Was prompted to reboot, but when I did all I've got is a blank screen, no Acer start up screen, no XP splash screen. I can't even hear the fan working as if it boots up. I've tried searching the web but to no avail, is there a solution to this (please I hope there is) or is it as I fear that the AA1 is now dead :cry:
