    Hi,i'm tom.

Had my aspire one for around a week now and loving it.
Ive installed skype, and access it using Alt+F2 typing skype, and run. This creates an icon in the lower toolbar.....great.
Also enabled advanced mode and right click so i can use my own wallpapers.....however once I turn off then on again, the wallpaper has gone (just grey background) and skype icons gone too....

    Any ideas????

    Thanks.

    Re: Wallaper

The wallpaper is in this file:

    /usr/share/backgrounds/images/Home-bk.png

There is a softlink elsewhere on the system called default.png that points to that file. If you copy your wallpaper file to that directory and rename it Home-bk.png it will work after a reboot.

    Cheers.

You can autostart Skype if you want.

    alt F2
    xfce4-autostart-editor

    Name: Skype
    Command; skype

Every time you start your pc, Skype will start up.
