Upon first booting up hel is us I got a message about how my system doesn't support dx12, which makes no sense as I have a 2060 laptop win 10. So I found this workaround:

this does work for the game and it does run. The thing I think is the problem is that I still have an older version of windows that didn't get the agility sdk so I used the fix I have in another thread for that, look it up here. On top of that my card is only dx 12.1 level which I think this game needs 12.2. So this spoofs the game into a workaround that should have been included with the game.

It doesn't really justify the reqs or the perfomance but I think it's a UE5 game which is a mess most of the time at first and usually needs patches to be at a decent level perf wise. UE5 is terrible for older systems for what the games look like most of the time. This game is definitely no exception on top of this 12.2 nonsense. Lazy development.

The game is ok but you quickly find out it's a souls like which is a shame. I thought they would have done their own thing and it seems like the story is different but the core gameplay is just a...nother souls like game!

I also recommend pea zip to unzip the proton files, my version of 7zip did not work. It worked fine for the dxvk download though.

This game isn't exactly a souls like game but the upgrades and some of the puzzles are very much souls like, weapons are archaic types in a post firearms world. It also has way too many puzzles and codes to find making it fairly tedious which dark souls doesn't have too much of and none of the codes.

Typical UE5 WAY OVER the TOP hardware reqs also, it doesn't look great and I can play MUCH BETTER older games which look leagues better for very little hw cost. This shouldn't be the norm for UE5 games but it is, garbage scalabilty to systems, lazy developers relying on Frame Gen and DLSS, REEDICULOUS!

I got bored of this game fairly quick and until it gets a proper fling trainer I'm not going to bother with it much. The cheat engine tables are too complicated and the ones that do work are not enough. Thankfully it's only 20gb to have to manage. I can sock it away until I don't care much anymore and just delete it. Once again I stress the need for the "free" versions of most UE5 games and most games in general. They haven't really got much better overall since 15-18 and before.

I don't recommend this game at all. Or if you must wait a few months until it gets patched out etc

I never went back to this game after playing it for a few hours and sessions, just too boring with too many obscure puzzles that require backtracking over a boring world. NPCs are boring, combat sux, etc

    Deleted gone.
