I have CS3 Photoshop, Bridge and ACR running well enough on my AAO 150 with a GB of RAM. *One important note- Bridge and Photoshop work with 1024x600 screen resolution but ACR will not work. You'll need to install AsTray Plus to force 1024x768 resolution. Without it the bottom half of the ACR window and buttons are not accessible. 1024x768 looks a little funny but it will get you through RAW conversion if you need to use it in a pinch.

If your using your AAO with an external monitor than you need not worry about installing AsTray Plus because the available resolution will likely be better than 1024x768.

Photohsop runs fine on the HD version of AAO. BIG PSD files on an SSD is useless, too slow. As a side note, CS2 is notoriously slow compared to Photoshop CS, and CS3. Upgrade to CS3 if you can, ditch CS2.

Yeah, weird but true, hehehe. I'm a photographer by profession and my computers live within Photoshop. :D

I just tested PS CS3 portable from USB stick on TinyVista on FAT32 and the same start up was slower than on MBP/XP pro. The portable version always starts up slower than the one installed onn the HDD. But when started it works on the AAO at good speed. (resize picture 3872x2592 pixs => 10% in 1 sec./ resize back same speed / sharpen picture 3872x2592 pixs => in 3 secs.
