I have been working for a week now to complete my modification of my AA1.
I have managed to get the following parts inside my AA1 but I have a problem left (antenna 3G).

    1. 120 GB HDD
    2. Bluetooth
    3. 3G
    4. TV-tuner
    5. 1GB extra RAM
    6. USB-hub

The complete guide is in Swedish and can be found on my blogg: http://ubuntu-bossieman.blogspot.com/20 ... -a110.html

    Googletranslation: http://translate.google.com/translate?u ... l=sv&tl=en

The problem Im having is the signalstrenghts of the 3G card. The signal is extremely weak. I need an antenna that works well inside. It has to be small to fit inside. Any suggestions? I translate the guide when Im 100% finished with the modification and everything works.

I found UMTS antenna on ebay - this type: http://shop.ebay.co.uk/?_from=R40&_trks ... ts+antenna - you can install this along LCD on right or left hand side, there is enough space...

I dont know about windows, but in GNU/Linux you can turn the BT off easily.

I noticed now that when Im outside the 3G connection is ok. Strange.
Thanks for the tip about the antenna.

They do software only, but it works with most of BT dongles anyway...

Not all - that's the problem :) Most of them is supporting remote ON/OFF. Software is only detecting this option and activating it - it's option of dongle firmware. I believe will be very difficult to find BT dongle w/o ON/OFF switch at the moment but it's possible dongle will operate "24/7"...

I've got Belkin BT dongle and Widcomm software on Desktop PC. Switching ON/OFF from tray icon work perfectly. I did not test Bluesoeil with micro BT dongle I prepared for AA1 - but I will...

in windows you can disable bluetooth by disabling the hardware in the hardware monitor in the control panel, and if the bluetooth comes with software like mines you can turn on or off the BT radio by cliking on the tray...
